MissMariaK Miranda Kerr: Blue Balloon Beautiful Jun 29, 2010 4:40 AM Continuing along with a full day in front of the cameras, Miranda Kerr was all smiles while photo shooting in New York City on Monday (June 28). The Victoria`s Secret beauty swapped out of an all-black ensemble, tossing on an off-white blouse and black skirt while holding on tight to a big blue balloon in the Meatpacking District locale. The work outing comes shortly after Miss Kerr and fiance Orlando Bloom confirmed that they are engaged to be married. Of the news, Bloom`s mom, Sonia Copeland, told press that she`s "thrilled` about the engagement, continuing to say, "Miranda is a beautiful girl, in all aspects of that word." Meanwhile, Miranda`s mom, Therese, has since jetted to the States from Australia to help get ready for the upcoming nuptials - of which no date has been announced.

The British actor has chosen a romantic weekend with model Miranda Kerr — whom he recently became engaged to — rather than a jetset adventure to South Africa to watch England take on Germany in their quarter-final clash. “Orlando loves his football and he has some mates already in South Africa so the invitation to go is there,” blabbed one loose-lipped insider. “He could go and wants to but in the end he’s decided to stay with Miranda rather than endure the agony of a tense England/Germany match. He’s willing the team on from in front of his TV instead.” Kerr’s family are said to be delighted by her engagement to Pirates of the Caribbean star Bloom. “The entire Kerr family is thrilled with the news,” Miranda’s rep, Carlii Lyon, told People magazine. “It is a very exciting time for both of them.”
